Description

A freestanding coat rack in solid wood: one slim trunk with eight angled hooks branching off it, like a young tree in winter. It takes coats, hats, scarves and bags without the bulk of a closet, and it still looks good when it's empty.

The trunk comes in sections, so you can build it to full height for adults' coats or leave a section out for a lower stand in a child's room. On the round base it stands 28.3, 48 or 67.7 inches tall. On the tripod it ranges from about 29.5 to 68.9 inches.

Choose pale natural wood or dark brown, on three splayed legs or a flat round base 14.6 inches across. The trunk is 1.3 inches thick. It's self assembly, and clothes and accessories are not included. Free shipping within the US.

How tall is it?

Built to full height on the round base it's 67.7 inches tall, and the tripod version reaches about 68.9 inches. Leave out a section and the round base stand is 48 or 28.3 inches tall, which suits a child's room.

Tripod or round base, which should I pick?

The round base is flat and 14.6 inches across, so it takes up a small, neat circle of floor and can stand close to a wall. The tripod's three splayed legs give it a lighter look in an open spot of the room.

How should I load it?

Spread heavy coats and bags around the trunk so the weight stays balanced, rather than loading one side. Keep the heaviest bags on the lower hooks.

Does it need assembly?

Yes, it's self assembly. The trunk comes in sections, so you choose how tall to build it when you put it together.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the trunk and hooks with a soft, dry cloth every week or two.

For marks, use a cloth that's barely damp and dry it after. Let wet coats and umbrellas drip dry elsewhere before you hang them, and skip harsh cleaners on the wood.

Stand it indoors on a level floor, away from radiators and strong direct sun.
