Description

The Comfort mat gives you a cushioned surface to stand on while you cook, wash up or prep. A high-density foam core gives a little under each step, which takes the edge off standing on a hard tile or stone floor for an hour at a time. It comes in four lengths, from an 18 x 30 inch mat for the sink to an 18 x 71 inch runner that covers a full run of counter.

The top is PVC with a fine textured surface and rounded, beveled edges, in Red, Green, Black or Light Gray. The underside is non-slip, so the mat stays put when you shift your weight or turn from the counter to the stove.

Oil, sauce and water stay on the surface, so a quick wipe with a damp cloth is usually all it takes to clean it.

Which length should I get?

The 18 x 30 inch mat covers the spot in front of a sink. The 18 x 47 inch size reaches from the sink to the dishwasher, and the 59 and 71 inch lengths cover a longer stretch of counter or a galley kitchen.

Does it slide on tile or wood?

No, the underside is non-slip and grips the floor, so the mat stays in place when you step on and off or turn around.

Is it comfortable for long cooking sessions?

That is what it is made for. A high-density foam core under the PVC top cushions each step on a hard floor, which makes long stretches at the counter easier on your feet.

Will the edges trip me up?

The edges are rounded and beveled down to the floor, so there is no hard lip to catch a toe.

How do I clean and care for it?

Wipe up oil, sauce or water as it happens with a damp cloth. For a weekly clean, wipe the whole surface with warm water and a drop of dish soap, then dry it with a towel.

Lift the mat now and then and wipe the floor underneath, so grit does not get trapped under the non-slip underside.

It is a wipe clean mat, so it does not need the washing machine. Keep it away from direct heat such as an open oven door or a space heater.
