This Christmas gnome is a tomte in the Scandinavian style: a tall knit hat, a long fluffy beard and striped arms, about 11 inches tall. Switch it on and a warm light glows through the beard, which gives a mantel, a shelf or the holiday table a soft glow in the evening.

The hat comes in red or gray cable knit, finished with a pompom and a sprig of holly berries. The gnome is made of cotton, polyester and plastic, soft to the touch and light enough to move from room to room.

It runs on 3 AAA batteries, which are not included. It is a decoration rather than a toy and is meant for ages 14 and up.
