Painted by hand
Each shade is glazed one at a time, so the pattern on yours is its own.
Bulb in the box
A 4W E26 LED ships with it. The socket takes any standard bulb up to 60W.
Up in about 15 minutes
Mounts to an existing ceiling box with a screwdriver. No electrician if the box is already there.
Cord you can shorten
Hangs anywhere down to 79 in, so it works over an island, a table or a stairwell.
Two colorways
Red or Blue Green
Same 5.5 in shade, same polished copper socket and canopy. The glaze is the only thing that changes, and in a room it changes a lot.
Red
Warm and loud enough to be the thing you notice first. It holds up against oak, cream plaster and dark green, and it does the work in a room where everything else is plain.
Blue Green
Closer to a glazed teal, and much quieter. In a white or gray kitchen it stays in the background until the light is on, then the copper rim picks it back up.
Every shade is painted by hand, so the brush strokes land differently on each one and the glaze pools in its own way. Yours will be close to the photo, not a copy of it.

Installing it
- Cut the power. Switch off the breaker for that circuit and check the wires are dead before you touch them.
- Mount the bracket. Screw the supplied bracket onto the ceiling box the old fixture came off.
- Set the drop. Decide the height first, then shorten the cord at the canopy. Over an island, 30 to 36 in above the counter is the usual drop.
- Connect and close. Black to black, white to white, ground to ground with the connectors supplied, then push the canopy flush and tighten.
- Bulb and power. Screw in the included 4W LED and switch the breaker back on.
If your ceiling has no fixture box yet, have an electrician add one. That is the only part of this job that needs a pro.

Questions
What people ask before they hang it
The things buyers email us about this pendant, answered straight.
Do I need an electrician to hang it?
Not if you are replacing a fixture that is already up there. The pendant mounts to the same ceiling box and there are three wires to connect. If your ceiling has no box yet, that part is a job for an electrician.
Will it work on standard US wiring?
Yes. It runs on AC 90 to 260V, which covers standard 110 to 120V household current, and it takes an E26 screw base bulb, the size sold in every US hardware store.
How low does it hang, and can I shorten it?
The cord is 79 in / 200 cm and you shorten it at the canopy to whatever height you want. Over a kitchen island most people land between 30 and 36 in above the counter. Over a dining table, 28 to 34 in above the tabletop.
Can I dim it?
The fixture has no dimmer of its own. Put a dimmable LED in it and wire it to a dimmer switch and it dims normally. The 4W bulb that ships in the box is not dimmable, so swap it if dimming matters to you.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Close, not identical. Each shade is painted by hand, so the strokes sit differently and the glaze pools in its own way on every piece. If yours is not what you pictured, you have 30 days from delivery to send it back.
How much light does one pendant give?
With the included 4W LED it lights roughly 150 sq ft at a soft, warm level, the kind of light you want over a table rather than for reading. The socket takes up to 60W if you want more. Over a long island or a big table, two or three in a row is the usual setup.
How do I clean the ceramic and the copper?
A dry microfiber cloth on both. Skip glass cleaner, vinegar and anything abrasive, they dull the glaze and mark the copper. Turn the power off and let the bulb cool before you start.
Is it safe over a kitchen island?
Yes. It is an indoor fixture and cooking steam is not a problem. Keep it out of bathrooms and covered porches, it is not rated for damp or wet locations.
What if it arrives cracked?
It ships in a double-walled box with foam around the ceramic, but if something got through, send a photo of the piece and the packaging to info@qonforta.com with your order number. We replace it or refund you, your call, and you pay nothing to return it.
