Description

The Clyde pendant light is a hand-blown glass pendant lamp with a soft dome shape and a second, smaller glass cup around the bulb. It hangs well on its own over a nightstand or a small table, and in a row of two or three over a kitchen island or dining table.

Each shade is made from a single piece of hand-blown glass on black metal fittings, in Smoke Gray, Clear or Amber. The shade is 9.8" across. A matching ceiling canopy is included, and the cord adjusts up to 3.9 ft, so you can set this hanging light at the height your room needs.

Clyde takes one E27 bulb, which is not included. It is dimmable when you use a dimmable E27 bulb with a compatible dimmer. The fixture is hardwired, rated IP20 and sold individually, so order one for each glass globe pendant you plan to hang.

In the room

Blown glass with a second glass inside

One by the bed, three over the island

A single Clyde is enough over a nightstand, a reading chair or a small round table. Over a kitchen island or a long dining table, hang two or three at the same height or stagger them. Each pendant is sold on its own, so you decide how many the room needs.

Two layers of glass around the bulb

The outer dome is hand-blown from a single piece of glass, and a smaller glass cup sits inside it around the bulb. Light passes through both layers, which softens it and leaves a gentle reflection in the glass. Smoke Gray tones the glow down, Clear lets the most light through, and Amber warms it.

Questions people ask about this piece

Still unclear about something? Email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.

How big is the shade?

The glass shade is 9.8 in across. It is a small pendant, which is why the photos show it in groups of two and three over a table.

Is a bulb included?

No. Clyde takes one E27 bulb, which you buy separately. Standard US E26 bulbs fit the same socket. A round globe bulb suits the inner glass, as shown in the photos.

Can I dim it?

Yes, when you use a dimmable E27 bulb together with a compatible dimmer.

How low does it hang, and does it need to be hardwired?

The cord adjusts up to 3.9 ft, and you set the drop during installation. Clyde is a hardwired ceiling light, and the matching ceiling canopy is included. If you are not used to electrical work, have a licensed electrician install it.

Is it sold as a set?

No. Each pendant is sold individually. For a row over an island or table, order one for each pendant you want to hang.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the glass with a soft dry cloth every week or two.

For fingerprints, switch the light off and let the bulb cool first. Wipe the glass with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and dry it right away. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the glass.

Clyde is rated IP20, so keep it in dry indoor rooms away from steam and splashing water.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 4 business days and most arrive within 7 to 12 business days. Shipping is free on all orders within the United States.
