Description

The Dumont linear pendant light is a slim LED fixture made for a kitchen island or a dining table. Instead of a row of separate shades, it hangs one or two thin light bars on fine cables, which keeps the view across the room open.

The frame is metal and PC and comes in a satin black or satin gold finish. The 35.4" version is a single bar. The 47.2" and 59.1" versions are two bars that overlap at different heights. A matching ceiling canopy is included, and the cables adjust up to 3.9 ft, so this island light works under high and low ceilings.

The LED is built in and replaceable. Choose Warm White (3000K), Neutral White (4000K) or Cool White (6000K), or pick the dimmable version, which is controlled with a remote. Only the remote version is dimmable. Dumont is a hardwired linear chandelier rated IP20.

You decide how low it hangs

Dumont hangs on thin cables, and you set their length when the light goes up. Leave them long for a high ceiling or shorten them for a standard one, so the bar ends up at the height that suits your island or table.

The cables adjust at the ceiling, up to a drop of 3.9 ft / 1.2 m. Measure from your ceiling down to where you want the light before you order, so you know it reaches.

Over an island or a table, 30 to 36 in above the surface is a common hanging height.
If an electrician installs it, tell them the height you want before they start.

Dumont hangs low over a kitchen island or a dining table and puts the light where you prep, eat and work. Because it is only a thin bar on fine cables, you still see across the room.

A slim metal bar with the LED built in

Each bar is a metal channel in satin black or satin gold that curves up at both ends, with a diffuser along the underside. The light comes out as one continuous line, without visible bulbs. The shortest size is one bar, and the two longer sizes add a second bar at a different height.

Which length do I need?

Dumont comes in three overall lengths: 35.4, 47.2 and 59.1 in. The 35.4 in size is a single bar, and the two longer sizes are two overlapping bars. Measure your island or table and compare it with the size guide above.

How low can it hang?

The cables adjust up to 3.9 ft, and you set the height during installation. That works for high and low ceilings.

Is it dimmable?

Only the version called Dimmable with Remote can be dimmed, using its remote control. The Warm White (3000K), Neutral White (4000K) and Cool White (6000K) versions give one fixed light color.

Does it need to be hardwired?

Yes. Dumont is a hardwired ceiling light, and the matching canopy that covers the ceiling connection is included. If you are not used to electrical work, have a licensed electrician install it.

Do I need to buy bulbs?

No. The LED is built into the bar and is included, and it is replaceable.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the bars and the canopy with a soft dry cloth every few weeks.

For fingerprints or kitchen grease, switch the light off and let it cool first. Wipe the metal with a slightly damp cloth and dry it right away. Do not use abrasive cleaners, which can mark the satin finish.

Dumont is rated IP20, so hang it where steam and splashing water cannot reach it.
