Description

The Ginza pendant light is a wabi sabi pendant lamp with a hand-shaped dome that looks more like a river stone than a lampshade. It hangs over a dining table, a kitchen island or a low sofa and sends its light straight down, so the table is lit and the room stays calm. It suits Japandi, minimalist and Scandinavian rooms.

Each shade is made by hand from polymer with a fine, matte texture, in White or Gray. Style A has a wavy rim that lifts on one side and shows the bulb. Style B is a rounder, closed dome. Both come in five diameters from 11.8" to 31.5", so you can hang one large hanging lamp or group several sizes at different heights.

The cord adjusts up to 4.9 ft, and the fixture runs on 90-260V, which covers standard US 120V wiring. It takes one E27 bulb and a bulb is included. Ginza is rated IP20 and made for indoor use only.

In the room

One soft shape over the table

Hang one, or group three

A single Ginza centers a dining table or a reading corner. Because it comes in five diameters, it also works as a cluster: two or three shades in different sizes, hung at different heights over a long table or in a stairwell. The cord adjusts, so you set the drop on the day you install it.

Shaped by hand, so no two match

The shade is made by hand from polymer and finished with a fine, matte texture. The outline is slightly uneven on purpose. Style A lifts at the rim and lets the bulb show from the side. Style B closes into a rounder dome and keeps the light source out of sight.

Questions people ask about this piece

Still unclear about something? Email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.

Which size should I choose?

Ginza comes in five diameters: 11.8, 15.7, 19.7, 23.6 and 31.5 in. The size guide above shows them to scale. One lamp lights an area of roughly 107.6 to 161.5 sq ft, so a long table or a large room usually takes more than one.

What is the difference between Style A and Style B?

Style A has a wavy rim that lifts on one side, so you can see the bulb from some angles. Style B is a rounder dome with an even rim that hides the bulb. Both come in White and Gray and in all five sizes.

Is a bulb included, and can I dim it?

Yes, one E27 bulb is included, and standard US E26 bulbs fit the same socket. The included bulb is not dimmable. To dim the light, use a dimmable E27 bulb together with a compatible dimmer.

How low does it hang, and does it need to be hardwired?

The cord adjusts up to 4.9 ft, so you set the drop during installation. Ginza is a hardwired ceiling light with no plug. It runs on 90-260V, which covers standard US 120V wiring. If you are not used to electrical work, have a licensed electrician install it.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

Ginza is rated IP20, which is for dry indoor rooms. Keep it away from steam and splashing water, and do not use it outdoors.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the shade with a soft dry cloth or a clean, dry brush every couple of weeks.

For a mark, switch the light off and let the bulb cool first. Dab the spot with a slightly damp cloth and let it air dry. Do not scrub the textured surface or use cleaning sprays.

Ginza is made for dry indoor rooms. Keep it away from steam, splashing water and outdoor use.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 4 business days and most arrive within 7 to 12 business days. Shipping is free on all orders within the United States.
