Description

A semi-flush ceiling light that hangs 11.8 inches below the ceiling, so it has some of the presence of a pendant without the long drop. A wide wood disc in a walnut color sits on three stacked wood beads under an antique brass finish canopy, with the shade below the disc so the light falls down and out into the room.

Choose the shade. White alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining shows when the light is on and no two shades look the same. The other option is glossy white glass with an amber swirl. Everything else on the fixture is the same.

The LED is built in, about 36W, with a 3000K warm white light, so there's no bulb to buy. It isn't replaceable. The light is hardwired for 110-120V and needs some assembly before it goes up. It's 14.1 inches across and weighs 7.7 lbs, for a dining room, bedroom, living room or entryway. Indoor use only. Free shipping within the US.

Will it hang too low for my ceiling?

It drops 11.8 in from the ceiling. Under a standard 8 ft ceiling that leaves about 7 ft of clearance below the shade, enough to walk under. Over a dining table or a kitchen island the height is not a concern.

Does it need to be hardwired?

Yes. It connects directly to the wiring in your ceiling and runs on 110 to 120V. There is no plug or cord, and some assembly is required before it goes up. If you have not wired a ceiling fixture before, have a licensed electrician install it.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is built into the fixture. It uses about 36W, gives a 3000K warm white light and is rated for 50,000 hours. The LED is not replaceable.

What is the difference between the two shade options?

Only the shade. One is white alabaster, a natural stone with veining that differs from piece to piece. The other is glass with an amber swirl. Both come with the same walnut color wood and the same built-in LED.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the wood, the canopy and the shade every week or two with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

For marks, switch the light off at the wall and let it cool first. Wipe with a cloth that is only slightly damp, then dry it right away. Skip glass cleaner, abrasives and anything acidic, because alabaster is a soft, porous stone that stains and scratches easily.

It is made for dry indoor rooms. We do not list a damp or wet rating for it, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and away from covered outdoor areas.
