In the room

A close to the ceiling light with a ribbed shade

Ribbed flush mount ceiling light with a red shade and glass globe in a hallway

For hallways, entries and smaller rooms

A flush mount stays close to the ceiling, so it suits the spots where a pendant would hang in the way: a hallway, an entryway, a bedroom or a home office. It also works over a small dining area. The light is for indoor use.

A metal shade over a frosted glass globe

The shade is pressed into ribs that run from the canopy down to a scalloped edge. Under it hangs a round globe of frosted glass that spreads the light of the bulb, so the glow is soft and even. The round canopy sits flat against the ceiling.

Description

A flush mount ceiling light with a ribbed metal shade that ends in a scalloped edge, over a frosted glass globe that softens the bulb into an even glow. It sits close to the ceiling, 9.8 inches wide and 7.1 inches from top to bottom, so it works in a hallway, an entryway, a bedroom or a home office where a pendant would hang in the way.

There are three color combinations: Brown & Beige (a cream shade under a brown canopy), Brown & Green (an olive shade with a mustard inside) and Beige & Red (a muted brick red shade under a beige canopy). One light is suggested for a room of about 54 to 108 sq ft.

It's hardwired to the ceiling wiring on 110-120V and needs no assembly. The bulb base is E12/E14 and a bulb isn't included, so order one with the light. It isn't dimmable, so put it on a regular wall switch, not a dimmer. For dry indoor rooms only. Free shipping within the US.

How is it installed?

It mounts flat against the ceiling and is hardwired to the ceiling wiring, on 110 to 120V. There is no cord or plug. The light itself needs no assembly. If you have not wired a ceiling fixture before, have a licensed electrician connect it.

Which bulb does it take, and is one included?

The bulb base is E12 / E14. A bulb is not included, so order one along with the light.

Can I dim it?

No, the light is not dimmable. Use it on a regular on and off wall switch.

How big is it, and how much room does it light?

It is 9.8 in / 25 cm across and comes 7.1 in / 18 cm down from the ceiling. One light is suggested for a room of 54 to 108 sq ft / 5 to 10 m². For a larger room or a long hallway, plan on more than one.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

It is for indoor use only. It has no listed rating for damp or wet rooms, so keep it to dry rooms such as a bedroom, hallway, entryway, dining room or home office.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the shade and the glass globe with a soft dry cloth every few weeks. Run the cloth along the ribs, which is where dust settles.

For fingerprints or marks, switch the light off and let the bulb cool first. Wipe the metal and the glass with a slightly damp cloth and dry them right away. Skip abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the finish.

It is made for dry indoor rooms. Do not hang it outdoors or where steam collects.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 4 business days, and delivery takes 7 to 12 business days in total.

Is this lamp UL or ETL listed?

No, our lamps are not UL or ETL listed. They are made for standard US outlets (110 to 120V), and plug-in models come with a US plug, so they are ready to use at home.

If your project needs listed fixtures, for example permitted work, a commercial space or an electrician who only installs certified equipment, please check with us before you order. Hardwired lights should always be installed by a licensed electrician.
