Installation & use
- Wiring: Hardwired to an outdoor junction box on a 110-120V circuit. There is no plug on this fixture.
- Mounting: Wall mounted, 1.5 in / 3.8 cm from the wall, about 66 in / 168 cm to the center is the usual height.
- Light source: Integrated LED, included. Not dimmable and not replaceable.
- Outside: IP65 rated for rain, snow and dust. Not rated for submersion.

Light goes up and down
Two narrow beams leave the fixture, one up the wall and one down, so the wall does the work instead of a bare bulb in your eyes.
IP65 rated for rain
Sealed against dust and water sprayed from any direction, so it stays outside through rain, wind and snow.
Pick your light color
Soft White, Warm White or Cool White. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
Free US shipping, 30 day returns
Ships free anywhere in the US. If it is not right for the wall, send it back within 30 days.
On the wall
What it does to a facade after dark
Up and down
Two beams from one fixture
The light leaves through the top and the bottom, so you get two clean wedges on the wall instead of a bright bulb staring at the street. On flat stucco it reads as architecture. On brick or wood it picks up the texture and the wall does the rest.
- BeamOne up, one down
- Best onStucco, brick, wood, flat facade
The build
Aluminum, matte black, close to the wall
The housing is aluminum with a matte black finish and it stands 1.5 in off the wall, so it does not catch a shoulder on a narrow path. The mounting plate sits behind the body, which means once it is up you see a clean rectangle and nothing else.
- Depth from the wall1.5 in / 3.8 cm
- FinishMatte black aluminum
In pairs
Most people buy two
One fixture marks a spot. A pair frames the entrance and makes the house read from the street, which is why these usually leave in twos. Keep both at the same height, roughly 66 in to the center, and let the beams meet on the wall between them.
- Common setupOne either side of the door
- Mounting heightAbout 66 in / 168 cm
Drawn to scale. The dashed lines show roughly where the up and down beams land on the wall.
Two sizes, drawn to scale
Which one your wall is asking for
Photos flatten scale, so here are both sizes at true proportions next to a standard front door, mounted at the height most people use. The small is about as tall as a paperback stood on end. The medium is twice that, and it is the one that reads from the street.
A tip that saves returns: mark the height on the wall with painter's tape before you order.
- Small 8.1 x 2.8 in / 20.5 x 7 cm
- Medium 16.1 x 2.8 in / 41 x 7 cm
- Distance from the wall 1.5 in / 3.8 cm
- Suggested mounting height About 66 in / 168 cm to the center
- Mounting Wall mounted, hardwired

What IP65 actually means on your wall
IP65 is two numbers. The 6 means dust cannot get in at all. The 5 means the housing shrugs off water sprayed at it from any direction, which covers rain, wind driven rain and a hose passing over it.
The body is aluminum with a matte black finish, so sun and salt air do not chalk it the way painted steel does. The LED sits behind a sealed lens, so there is no gasket to open and no bulb to change.

- Made for exterior walls, covered porches, patios and garden walls.
- Not rated for submersion, so keep it above sprinkler spray and pool splash.
- Wipe the lens with a damp cloth twice a year. Grit on the glass costs you more light than anything else.

Putting it up
- Switch the circuit off at the breaker and check the wires are dead before you touch anything.
- Hold the mounting plate against the wall, mark the holes, drill and set the anchors.
- Connect live to live, neutral to neutral and ground to ground, then screw the plate to the wall.
- Seat the fixture on the plate, tighten the screws, run a bead of exterior silicone along the top edge and turn the power back on.
There is no plug on this fixture. If you are not comfortable working in a junction box, an electrician will have it mounted in well under an hour.
In the box
- 1 wall sconce in the size and light color you chose
- 1 mounting plate with screws and wall anchors

Questions people ask about this sconce
Anything else, email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.
Does it plug in, or does it have to be wired?
It is hardwired. There is no cord and no plug, so it connects to an outdoor junction box on a 110 to 120V circuit. If you already have a light there, it is a straight swap. If you do not, an electrician needs to run one first.
Can I change the light color after I install it?
No. The color you pick at checkout is the color it stays, because the LED is built in rather than a bulb you swap. Warm White is the safe choice next to brick, wood and warm plaster. Cool White reads crisp on grey and white walls. Soft White sits between the two.
How far do the beams actually reach?
On a flat wall you get two narrow wedges, roughly two to three feet up and the same down on the small, and further on the medium. This is wall lighting, not a floodlight, so it shapes the facade rather than lighting the whole yard.
Which size should I pick?
The small at 8.1 in suits narrow piers, garden walls and a run of several fixtures along a fence. The medium at 16.1 in is the one that reads from the street, so it works beside a front door, on a garage wall or on any surface wider than about four feet.
Will it survive a winter outside?
Yes. The aluminum housing is IP65 rated, so it is sealed against dust and against water sprayed from any direction. Rain, snow and wind are fine. Submersion is not, so keep it above sprinkler spray.
Is it dimmable?
No. On a dimmer switch it can flicker or buzz, so run it on a normal switch, a timer or a photocell.
What happens when the LED eventually dies?
The LED is sealed into the housing, which is what keeps the water out, so it is not user replaceable. For an outdoor fixture running a few hours a night that is a long horizon, but it is worth knowing before you buy.
How long does shipping take, and what if it is not right?
Free shipping within the US, 1 to 2 business days to process and 6 to 8 business days in transit. You have 30 days from delivery to send it back, and there is no restocking fee.
