A fluted wall sconce with a grooved shade, in brass or matte black. It fits a modern, Art Deco or transitional room and works in a bedroom, living room, hallway, dining room or entryway.

It comes in two sizes: a wide one, 9.8 inches across and 9.8 inches high, and a slimmer tall one, 3.9 inches across and 11.8 inches high. The body is brass and aluminum. It takes one E26/E27 screw-in bulb, which isn't included, so pick an LED bulb in the color temperature you like.

This is a hardwired fixture. It mounts over an existing electrical box and runs off your wall switch on standard 110-120V house power, with no cord or plug. If there's no wiring at that spot, an electrician can add it. To dim it, use a dimmable bulb with a dimmer switch. Indoor use only. Free shipping within the US.

Which size should I pick?

The square one, 9.8 by 9.8 inches, suits open wall space in a living room, dining room or entryway. The tall one, 11.8 inches high, fits narrower spots beside a bed, next to a door frame or up a staircase. Mark the size on your wall with painter's tape before you choose.

No. It is made for indoor use on dry walls and has no damp or wet rating, so keep it away from showers, tubs and outdoor walls.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust it with a soft, dry cloth every week or two, and check the open top now and then, since that is where dust settles.

For marks, switch it off at the wall and let the bulb cool first. Then wipe with a cloth that is barely damp with plain water and dry it right away. Skip metal polish, abrasive cleaners and spray cleaners, they can dull the brass and the matte black.

It is made for dry indoor walls. Keep it out of showers, away from tubs and off outdoor walls.
