In the room

What it looks like once it is up

Two natural stone wall sconces flanking a glass front door at dusk, casting warm light up and down the wall
1

The light runs up and down the wall

The LED sits behind the top and bottom edges of the stone, so the beam travels along the wall instead of pointing out at eye level. You get two soft fans of warm white light, one above the stone and one below, and the wall does the rest of the work. Beside a front door it reads as a marker rather than a spotlight.

2

Real stone, so no two are identical

The face is cut from natural cave stone and left with its open pores and mineral flecks showing. Lit from the edge, that texture is what you see. It also means your piece will not match this photo pore for pore, and if you order two for either side of a door, expect a family resemblance rather than a copy.

3

Sealed to IP65, so weather is not a problem

IP65 means the housing keeps dust out and holds up to water sprayed from any direction, which covers rain, wind driven spray and a garden hose. Leave it on an exposed garden wall, a balcony or an entrance through the seasons. It is not made to sit in standing water or to be submerged.

Installation

What the install looks like

  1. 01

    Cut the power first

This fixture wires into a junction box, it has no plug and no cord. Switch off the breaker for that circuit and check the wires are dead before you open anything up.

  2. 02

    Mount the bracket

Hold the bracket against the wall, mark the holes, then drill and set anchors that suit the surface. Masonry anchors in brick or stucco, screws into a stud or a mounting block on wood.

  3. 03

    Connect the wires

Live to live, neutral to neutral, ground to ground, then tuck the connections back into the box. Keep the fixture seated flat against the wall so water cannot run in behind it.

  4. 04

    Fit the stone and test

Fix the body to the bracket, switch the breaker back on and check that both ends light. If working on a live circuit is not something you do, this is a half hour job for an electrician.

Questions people ask about this piece

Still unclear about something? Email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.

Does it plug in, or does it have to be wired?

It is a hardwired fixture. There is no plug and no cord, so it connects to a junction box the way a normal wall light does. The driver accepts AC 90 to 260V, so a US 120V circuit is fine, and the fixture carries UL, CE, VDE, SAA and RoHS marks. If there is no box on that wall yet, an electrician will need to run one first.

Which of the two sizes should I pick?

The 12.6 in / 32 cm size suits balcony walls, narrow piers and the space beside a standard door. The 16.5 in / 42 cm size holds its own on a wide wall, next to double doors, or on a garage or driveway wall where a smaller light disappears.

Both are 3.1 in / 8 cm wide and stand 1.6 in / 4 cm off the wall, so the only real difference is height. Mounted as a pair at roughly 66 in / 168 cm to the center, the larger size is usually the safer call.

Will it hold up outside in rain and winter?

Yes. IP65 means dust cannot get in and water sprayed from any direction cannot either, so rain, wind driven spray and a garden hose are all covered. Mount it on an exposed wall and leave it there year round.

What it is not built for is standing water, so keep it clear of spots where a drift or a puddle can reach it, and never submerge it. Wet stone goes a shade darker and lightens again as it dries.

How bright is it, and can I dim it?

It draws 18W on the 12.6 in size and 20W on the 16.5 in size, in warm white. The light leaves the top and bottom edges, so it washes the wall rather than lighting the whole yard, which is what you want next to a door or along a path.

It is dimmable, but the dimmer has to sit on the circuit. There is no remote and no app.

Is the bulb included, and what happens when it goes?

The LED is built in, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to screw in. That also means there is no bulb to swap later. LEDs of this type run for years of normal evening use, but when the board eventually fails the fixture gets replaced rather than re-lamped. Worth knowing before you wire in a pair.

Can I use it indoors?

Yes. Nothing about the fixture limits it to the outside, and the same up and down wash works over a sideboard, along a hallway or beside a bed. A weather rating only means it can also take rain. Indoors it still wires into a junction box, so it is the same job either way.

How do I clean and care for it?

Wipe it down with a dry or barely damp cloth two or three times a year, more often if it sits under a tree or near a road. Dust settles in the open pores of the stone, and that is where it shows first.

For a mark that will not wipe off, switch the power off at the breaker and let the fixture cool, then work at it with water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush in small circles. Skip bleach, acidic cleaners and anything abrasive, all three dull natural stone. Let it dry fully before the power goes back on.

Stone is porous, so it takes on water and dries out again. Rain is fine. A spot where water pools or runs down the wall constantly is not, and neither is a pool or spa surround where chlorine spray lands on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about shipping, returns and our pieces. Can't find your answer? We reply within 1 to 2 business days.

Shipping & delivery

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Shipping is free on every order within the United States, with no minimum order value.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days, and transit takes another 6 to 12 business days, so most orders arrive within 7 to 14 business days. Orders placed after 5:00 PM ET are processed the next business day.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship within the United States only. If you'd like us to reach your country, let us know at info@qonforta.com.

Will I pay customs fees or import charges?

No. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. There are no extra fees on delivery.

Will I receive tracking information for my order?

Yes. As soon as your order ships you'll get an email with a tracking number, and you can follow it on our order tracking page. Tracking can take 24 to 48 hours to start showing movement.

I ordered several items, why did they arrive separately?

Larger orders sometimes travel in more than one package so nothing gets damaged in transit. If part of your order arrives first, the rest is usually right behind it. Each package has its own tracking number.

My tracking says delivered, but I don't have the package.

Check with your household and neighbors first, and look around porches and side doors, because carriers sometimes mark a parcel delivered a little early. If it hasn't turned up after 48 hours, email info@qonforta.com and we'll open a trace with the carrier.

Returns & refunds

What is your return policy timeframe?

You have 30 days from the day your order arrives to return it. Items need to be unused and in their original condition, with the packaging, labels, and accessories. There is no restocking fee.

Who pays for return shipping?

If the item arrived damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, we cover it and you pay nothing. If you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, or it doesn't fit your space, the return shipping is on you. Original shipping costs aren't refunded.

How do I start a return?

Email info@qonforta.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We'll send you return instructions, usually within 1 to 2 business days.

When do I get my money back?

Once your return arrives we check the item and approve the refund. From there it takes up to 7 business days to reach your original payment method, depending on your bank.

Can I exchange an item instead of returning it?

Yes. Tell us which product, color, or size you'd rather have and we'll arrange the exchange.

What if my item is damaged or defective?

Send us a photo of the item and the packaging within a few days of delivery, along with your order number. We'll replace it or refund you, your choice, and you won't pay any return costs.

Orders & payment

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Email info@qonforta.com with your order number and what you'd like changed. After 24 hours your order may already be in processing, so we can't guarantee it. Once it ships, you can still return it under our 30-day policy.

I entered the wrong shipping address. Can you fix it?

Email us as soon as you can with your order number and the correct address. If your order hasn't shipped yet we can update it. Once a package is with the carrier, the address is locked in.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, plus the express checkout options you'll see at checkout. Every payment runs through Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout, so we never see or store your card details.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No. You can check out as a guest and you'll still get an order confirmation and tracking updates by email.

Lighting & furniture

Do your lights work with standard US outlets?

Every lamp we ship is made for US households and works with standard 110 to 120V outlets.

Do I need an electrician to install it?

Plug-in pieces work straight out of the box. Hardwired fixtures like pendants and ceiling lights are a straightforward swap for anyone comfortable with basic wiring, and if you're not sure, an electrician will have it up in under an hour.

How do I know a piece will fit my space?

Full dimensions are listed on every product page. A tip that saves a lot of returns: mark the measurements out with painter's tape on your floor or wall before you order.

Will the color match the photos?

We photograph everything as true to life as we can, but screens differ and daylight changes how a finish reads in a room. If a piece isn't what you pictured, our 30-day return window is there for exactly that.

Will you restock a sold-out item?

Often, yes. Email us the product name and we'll let you know when it's back.

Kitchen & dining

Is your flatware dishwasher safe?

Yes, every set is dishwasher safe. To keep the finish looking new, use a mild detergent, skip the intensive cycle, and take the pieces out once the cycle ends rather than letting them sit in the steam.

Will the color coating on the black and gold flatware wear off?

No. The color isn't paint or plating sitting on top, it's a titanium coating bonded to the stainless steel, which is why it survives daily use and the dishwasher. Just keep it away from steel wool, bleach, and abrasive scrubs.

What's included in a flatware set, and how many people does it serve?

Each set serves six. A 30-piece set gives you five pieces per person, dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, tablespoon, and teaspoon, and a 24-piece set gives you four. The exact breakdown is on every product page.

Is your glassware heat resistant? Can I pour boiling water straight in?

Yes. Our teapots and tea mugs are borosilicate glass, the same glass used in lab equipment, so it handles boiling water without cracking. What glass doesn't like is sudden extremes, so don't go from the fridge to boiling water in one step.

Can the glass teapot go on the stovetop or in the microwave?

The glass body is microwave safe. Don't put it on a direct flame or an electric burner, and keep wooden lids and bamboo parts out of the microwave and the dishwasher.

How do I clean the wooden parts?

By hand, with warm water and a little dish soap, then dry them right away. A few drops of food-safe mineral oil once or twice a year keeps the wood from drying out. Wood should never soak or go through the dishwasher.

Are the infusers fine enough for loose leaf tea?

Yes. The stainless steel mesh handles small-leaf and rooibos blends, and the basket lifts out in one piece so you can stop the brew when you want to.

Are your kitchen products food safe and BPA free?

Yes. Everything that touches food is made from food-safe materials: stainless steel, borosilicate glass, and BPA-free components.

Is your cutting board knife friendly?

Yes. The surface is non-porous, so it resists stains and bacteria without dulling your knives the way glass or stone boards do. Rinse and dry after use; don't leave it soaking.
