Pick solar if there is no wiring on that wall. It charges in daylight, turns itself on at dusk and off at sunrise, and installing it is two screws and an anchor.

Pick hardwired if the spot already has an outdoor junction box and you want the light on your existing switch, on all night if you want it, with no dependence on the weather. Hardwired connects to 110 to 120V house power. In most places that work is done by a licensed electrician, and local code decides.

It charges from daylight, so the wall matters more than the fixture. A spot that gets a few hours of direct sun charges best. A north facing wall, a deep covered porch or heavy tree shade will still charge, but the light runs shorter into the night.

Short winter days and long stretches of grey weather have the same effect. If the spot you have in mind sits in shade all day, the hardwired version is the safer choice.

Warm white, filtered through ribbed glass, so it reads as soft vertical lines rather than one bright point. The glow runs up and down the wall and lights the area around the door.

This is entry and porch lighting, not a security floodlight for a whole driveway. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy and no bulb to change, and it is not dimmable.

All three are the same 6.3 in / 16 cm wide, so only the height changes. Medium at 15.0 in / 38 cm is the one most standard front doors take. Small at 11.0 in / 28 cm suits a side door, a service door or narrow trim where a taller fixture would crowd the frame.

Yes. It is rated IP65, which means sealed against dust and against water sprayed at it from any direction, so wind driven rain, snow and a garden hose are all within what it is built for. The housing is powder coated metal and the front is glass.

IP65 does not cover being submerged, so it is not meant for a spot that floods or for pool and pond edges where it could sit underwater. It is an outdoor fixture and is not intended for indoor use.

Wipe the glass and the black housing with a damp cloth two or three times a year, and more often if you live near the coast or under trees. Dust and pollen on the glass dull the light, and on the solar version they also cut how much it charges, so that wipe is worth doing before winter.

For water spots or grime, use mild soap and water on a soft cloth. Let the fixture cool first, and on the hardwired version switch it off at the breaker before you touch it. Skip abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, they scratch the glass and take the coating off the metal.

It is built for open weather on an outside wall. Avoid spots where it would sit in standing water or take a constant blast from a sprinkler head.
