A wall sconce with a ribbed glass shade shaped like a fan shell, with a scalloped top edge, held by a small brass clamp on a round brass wall plate. With the bulb on, the ridges break the light into soft bands, so it reads as a small Art Deco wall piece as much as a light. A pair works well on either side of a bed or a mirror.

Choose clear ribbed glass or brown, which is a warm amber tint that gives a more golden glow. The sconce is 7.9 inches wide and 8.7 inches tall and weighs 4.4 lb.

It's hardwired to a wall junction box on 110-120V and has a push-button switch. It isn't dimmable. It takes an E14 bulb up to 40W, which is smaller than the standard US E26 base, so check the base when you buy bulbs. It's for indoor use, and no damp rating is listed, so keep it away from shower spray. Free shipping within the US.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the glass and the brass with a soft dry cloth every week or two. Dust collects in the ridges of the glass, so wipe along them.

For marks, switch the light off and let the bulb cool. Wipe the glass with a soft cloth and a little glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth, not onto the sconce. Wipe the brass with a dry cloth only, and skip abrasive pads and metal polish.

It is for indoor use only. Keep it away from direct water spray, and do not mount it outdoors.
