Description

The Hera wall sconce is a compact round glass wall light that sits close to the wall and glows like a small lantern. At 5.3" across it fits where a larger fixture would crowd the space: beside a bed, along a hallway, next to a mirror or in a row above a sofa.

Each wall lamp is made of metal, glass and acrylic. Style A has a ribbed glass face, Style B is a thick smooth glass drum with a clear rim, and Style C pairs a wide prismatic glass shade with a black or gold base. That gives 7 color and style combinations across white, orange, gray, black and white, and gold and white. The LED is built in and replaceable, and you choose Warm White (3000K), Cool White (6000K) or Tri-Color.

Hera is a hardwired wall light fixture for dry indoor rooms. It runs on 90-260V, which covers standard US 120V wiring, and it is rated IP20, so keep it away from showers. The light is not dimmable. Each sconce is sold individually, so order two for a matched pair.

In the room

A small glass light with a warm glow

Two orange Hera wall sconces beside a round mirror in a hallway

Made to hang in twos and threes

One Hera works as a night light by the bed or a marker at the end of a hallway. Because the fixture is small and sits close to the wall, it also lines up well: a column of three beside a window, a pair on either side of a mirror, a row above a headboard. Each sconce is sold on its own, so you decide how many the wall needs.

Thick glass does the diffusing

The shade is glass on a metal base, with the LED set behind it. The ribbed face of Style A breaks the light into fine lines, the smooth drum of Style B glows evenly from edge to edge, and the prismatic front of Style C adds a soft sparkle. Switched off, the colored glass still reads as an object on the wall and not as a blank fixture.

Questions people ask about this piece

Still unclear about something? Email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.

How big is it on the wall?

Every style is 5.3 in across. Style A and Style B stand 3.2 in off the wall and Style C stands 3.5 in off the wall, so the light stays compact in a hallway or next to a bed. The size guide above shows all three to scale.

Does it need to be hardwired?

Yes. Hera is a hardwired wall light with no cord or plug, so it connects to the wiring in your wall. It runs on 90-260V, which covers standard US 120V household power. If you are not used to electrical work, have a licensed electrician install it.

Is the bulb included, and can I dim it?

The LED is built into the fixture, so there is no bulb to buy, and it is replaceable. You pick the light color when you order: Warm White (3000K), Cool White (6000K) or Tri-Color. The light is not dimmable, so connect it to a regular on/off switch and not to a dimmer.

Which colors come in which style?

Style A, with the ribbed glass, comes in White and Orange. Style B, the smooth glass drum, comes in White, Orange and Gray. Style C, with prismatic glass on a wider base, comes in Black and White or Gold and White.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

Hera is rated IP20, which is for dry indoor rooms. Keep it away from showers, tubs and sinks where water can splash, and do not use it outdoors.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the glass with a soft dry cloth every week or two. That is usually all it needs.

For fingerprints or marks, switch the light off at the wall and let it cool first. Wipe the glass with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and dry it right away. Skip glass sprays and abrasive cleaners near the metal base.

Hera is made for dry indoor rooms. Do not hang it outdoors or anywhere water can splash on it.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 4 business days and most arrive within 7 to 12 business days. Shipping is free on all orders within the United States.
