A recessed LED light that sits flush in the wall beside a staircase and shines down onto the step, so you can see each tread without turning on the main light. It works the same way along a hallway or in an entryway.

Choose the square version, 4.3 by 5.9 inches, or the rectangle, 3.9 by 7.9 inches. Both are 1.8 inches deep and made of aluminum with a white finish. Each light has a built-in 3W LED in one color temperature that you pick when you order: warm white 3000K, natural white 4000K or cool white 6000K. The LED can't be replaced, and the light isn't dimmable.

With the sensor version, the light turns on when someone moves within 3.3 to 9.8 feet, across a 120-degree angle. The version without a sensor has no motion detection. It's hardwired on 120V and needs a cutout in the wall with a power cable behind it, so professional installation is recommended. Hardware is included. For indoor use only. It is hardwired and recessed, so it needs a cutout in the wall and a power cable behind it. The body is 1.8 in / 4.5 cm deep. It runs on 120V. A wiring connection is required, hardware is included, and professional installation is recommended.

How does the motion sensor work?

The sensor is optional. On the Sensor version the light comes on when someone moves within 3.3 to 9.8 ft / 1 to 3 m, across a 120° angle. The No Sensor version has no motion detection.

Which color temperature should I pick?

Warm White (3000K) is the softest and suits stairs and hallways at night. Natural White (4000K) is neutral. Cool White (6000K) is the crispest, with a slightly blue tone. Each light has one color temperature, so choose it when you order.

Can I use it outdoors?

No. It is for indoor use only. It is meant for staircases, hallways and entryways inside the house.

Can I dim it, and can the LED be replaced?

No, the standard light is not dimmable. The LED is built in and cannot be replaced.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the niche every few weeks with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush. Lights that sit low on the wall collect more dust than you expect.

For scuffs or marks, switch the power off first and let the light cool. Wipe the aluminum with a barely damp cloth and dry it right away. Skip abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which can dull the white finish.

It is for indoor use only. Keep water away from the opening when you mop the stairs or the floor next to it.
