Description

A small Scandinavian-style wall sconce with its own pull chain, so you switch it on and off right at the light. Hang one on each side of the bed and you don't have to get up to reach a wall switch. It works the same way in a hallway, entryway or reading nook.

The dome shade and arm are iron with a smooth painted finish in green, pink, yellow or white, with a ring of natural wood above the shade and a wooden bead on the chain. The shade is 5.9 inches across and 6.3 inches high on a 3.9-inch backplate, and it's open at the bottom, so the light points down.

It's hardwired to a wall box on 110-120V, and the mounting hardware is included. The E26 socket takes one LED, incandescent or CFL bulb up to 40W, and the bulb isn't included. The pull chain is on and off only, so it isn't dimmable. For indoor use only. Free shipping within the US.

How is it installed?

It mounts on the wall and is hardwired to the wiring behind it, on 110 to 120V. The mounting hardware is included, and assembly is required.

If you have not wired a wall light before, have a licensed electrician connect it.

Which bulb does it take, and is one included?

It takes one bulb with an E26 base, up to 40W. LED, incandescent and CFL bulbs all work, and an LED is the one we would pick. The bulb is not included.

Can I dim it?

No. The pull chain switches the light on and off only, and the sconce is not dimmable.

How big is it, and how much space does it light?

The shade is 5.9 in / 15 cm across and 6.3 in / 16 cm high, and the backplate is 3.9 in / 10 cm across. One sconce is suggested for up to 55 sq ft / 5.1 m², so think of it as light for one spot.

Where can I use it?

It is for indoor use only: a bedroom, hallway, reading nook, living room or entryway. It has no listed rating for damp rooms, so keep it away from showers and splashing water.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the shade, the arm and the wood ring with a soft dry cloth every week or two.

For fingerprints, switch the light off with the pull chain and let the bulb cool. Wipe the painted iron with a slightly damp cloth and dry it right away. Keep the wood ring dry, and skip abrasive cleaners that can scratch the paint.

It belongs on a dry indoor wall. Do not hang anything from the pull chain.
