Description

The Origami is an LED wall light shaped like a folded paper bird, made in metal. It turns a bare stretch of wall into something to look at, above a sofa, at the end of a hallway or on an empty bedroom wall, and at about 13" long and 6.3" high it has enough presence to hang on its own.

It comes in black, gold or white. When it is on, the warm white LED light spreads onto the wall around the bird, so the folded outline stands out against a soft glow. It lights about 54 to 108 sq ft, which makes it an evening mood light rather than the main light for a room. The light is not dimmable, so it should not go on a dimmer switch.

Hang it where there is open wall around it, so the shape reads clearly from across the room. It is made for dry indoor rooms like the living room, bedroom and hallway.

In the room

A folded bird that glows on the wall

Wall art that also gives light

Hang it above the sofa, at the end of a hallway or on an empty bedroom wall, anywhere a picture frame would go. In the evening it doubles as mood light: it lights about 54 to 108 sq ft, so switch it on while the ceiling light stays off.

Folded metal in black, gold or white

The bird is metal with sharp folded planes, like paper origami. When it is on, the warm white LED light spreads onto the wall around it, so the outline stands out against a soft glow.

Questions people ask about this piece

Still unclear about something? Email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.

How big is it?

It is about 13 inches long and 6.3 inches high, so it holds its own on a wall without other decor around it.

Is it bright enough to light a room?

It is meant as mood light. It lights an area of about 54 to 108 sq ft, so it sets a soft evening light in a living room or hallway, next to a ceiling light for everyday tasks.

Is the light warm or cool, and can I dim it?

The LED gives warm white light, the soft yellowish tone most people like in the evening. It is not dimmable, so it should not go on a dimmer switch.

Which finish should I choose?

Black gives the sharpest outline on a light wall. Gold looks warmest and catches the glow. White almost disappears into a white wall, so you mainly see the bird drawn in light.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust it every few weeks with a dry microfiber cloth, following the folds so no dust sits in the corners.

For marks or fingerprints, switch the power off first and let the light cool for a few minutes. Then wipe it with a cloth that is barely damp and dry it straight away. Skip sprays, solvents and scouring pads, they can dull the finish.

Hang it in dry indoor rooms. Keep it away from showers, steam and outdoor walls.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 4 business days and transit takes 6 to 8 business days, so most orders arrive within 7 to 12 business days. Shipping is free within the United States.
