A small wall sconce with its own pull cord, so you can switch it on and off from the bed or a reading chair without getting up. The metal dome shade points the light down onto a pillow or a book, and a short collar of natural wood sits between the shade and the arm.

The shade, the arm and the round wall plate share one matte color: yellow, white, green or pink. It's 4.7 inches wide, 6.3 inches high and reaches 5.9 inches out from the wall. It suits a bedroom, a kids' room, a reading nook, a hallway or a living room.

This light is hardwired, not plug-in. It has no power cord or plug and connects to the wiring in the wall on 110-120V, and some assembly is required, so have an electrician connect it if you haven't done it before. The socket is E27 and the bulb isn't included. Whether it dims depends on the bulb. For indoor use only. Free shipping within the US.

Does it plug in, or does it have to be wired in?

It has to be wired in. This is a wall mounted light that runs on 110 to 120V and has no cord or plug, so it connects to the wiring in the wall. Some assembly is required when you put it up. Have a licensed electrician make the connection if you have not done it before.

Which bulb does it take, and is one included?

The bulb is not included, so you pick your own. The socket is E27. A standard US E26 bulb screws into it. How bright the light is depends on the bulb you choose.

Can it be dimmed?

That depends on the bulb you use. The pull switch on the light turns it on and off.

Where can I hang it?

It is an indoor light. It works well next to a bed, in a kids' room, over a reading chair, in a hallway or in a living room. Leave enough room under it to reach the cord.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the shade, the wood collar and the wall plate with a soft dry cloth every week or two.

For fingerprints or marks, switch the light off and let the bulb cool first. Wipe the metal with a slightly damp cloth and dry it right away. Keep water off the wood and out of the socket, and skip abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the matte finish.

It is made for indoor use only. Do not mount it outdoors or anywhere it can get wet.
