Travertine Wall Sconce, Natural Stone Half Bowl Uplight, Hardwired

It is hardwired. It connects to the wiring in your wall and runs on 110 to 120V, so installation is part of the job. Switch the power off at the breaker first, and have a licensed electrician make the connection if you have not wired a fixture before.

It takes a G9 bulb, and a G9 LED bulb is included. Dimming depends on the bulb used. Whether the included bulb can be dimmed is not specified, so plan on a dimmable G9 bulb and a matching wall dimmer if you want to dim it.

Think of it as an accent light. The light leaves through the open top and gives an upward, ambient wall wash, with the stone itself blocking any direct glare. Use it for atmosphere, alongside the main light in the room.

The shape will, the surface will be its own. Travertine is a natural stone, so the pits, the veining and the exact shade of cream or beige differ from piece to piece.

It is an indoor light, listed for a hallway, bedroom, staircase or living room. No IP or damp rating is given, so keep it out of bathrooms and do not mount it outdoors.

Dust it every couple of weeks with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush. The pits in travertine hold dust, so brush across the surface instead of only wiping it.

For a mark, switch the power off and let the bulb cool. Wipe with a cloth dampened with plain water and let the stone dry. Skip vinegar, lemon based cleaners and anything else acidic, which can etch travertine, and skip abrasive pads.

Keep it indoors and away from steam and splashing water. Do not put anything in the bowl, since that is where the bulb sits.
