Description

This teardrop wall sconce holds a frosted white glass globe inside a slim metal loop, hung from a small round wall plate. It is a compact globe wall light for the spot beside a bed, over a nightstand, along a hallway or next to a mirror, and it looks just as tidy switched off as it does switched on.

The frame, arm and plate are metal in brushed brass or satin black. The frosted glass globe spreads the light of the G9 bulb into an even, soft glow, so you never look straight into a bare bulb. The light measures 6.3 in wide and 14.6 in tall, and the round plate is 3.9 in across.

It is a hardwired fixture for indoor use only. It connects to the wiring in a wall box and runs from the wall switch on that circuit, so a licensed electrician is the easy route if you have not wired a light before. Each light is sold individually, so order two for a matching pair on both sides of a bed.

In the room

A soft globe of light in a thin metal frame

Beside the bed, down the hall, or as a pair

It is small enough to sit between a headboard and a window, and narrow enough for a hallway wall. Each light is sold on its own, so you can hang one over a reading chair or one on each side of the bed.

Frosted glass, no bare bulb glare

The G9 bulb sits inside a frosted white glass globe, so you see an even glow instead of a bright point. That matters next to a bed or at eye level in a hallway, where you look straight at the light. The bulb comes in the box.

Questions people ask about this piece

Still unclear about something? Email info@qonforta.com and a real person answers within 1 to 2 business days.

How big is it on the wall?

The light is 6.3 in wide and 14.6 in tall, and the round wall plate is 3.9 in across. That size suits the wall beside a bed, over a nightstand or along a hallway.

Does it need to be hardwired?

Yes. It connects to the wiring in a wall box and has no plug, so it runs from the wall switch on that circuit. If you have not done electrical work before, have a licensed electrician install it.

What bulb does it use, and can I dim it?

It uses a G9 bulb, and one is included. The included bulb is a standard non-dimmable bulb, so to dim the light, fit a dimmable G9 bulb and use a compatible dimmer switch.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outside?

It is rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only. Do not install it outdoors or anywhere it can get wet, such as inside a shower area or right above a sink.

Do I get one light or a pair?

One. Each light is sold individually, so order two if you want a matching pair on both sides of a bed or a mirror.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed in 1 to 4 business days, and delivery takes 7 to 12 business days in total. You get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

How do I clean and care for it?

Dust the frame and the glass globe every week or two with a soft, dry cloth.

For marks on the glass, switch the light off and let the bulb cool first. Then take the globe off, wash it in warm soapy water, dry it fully and fit it back. Wipe the metal with a barely damp cloth only and skip abrasive cleaners, so the brass or black finish stays even.

Hang it on a dry indoor wall, away from showers, steam and outdoor weather, since it is rated IP20.
